Im doing a review on the bk7 today
So first of the kabar runs ya anywhere from 80$-140 so its not the cheapest knife out there but it is definitely worth the money!
So lets run the specs
Overall this knife is 12 3/4 inches long with a 7 inch fine edge clip point blade
Its full tang crafted in 1095 cro van steel HRC 56-58 blade thickness .188 zytel scales
Comes with a plastic insert nylon sheath with pouch and piggyback sheath molle compatible
So when you first get this thing in the store or mail you notice the monster becker adventure box. You open it upto unveil a beautiful all black heavy duty bad ass blade i cant describe it better
It has a sandpaper like feel from thereally heavy protective coating it feel like you need to have a big hand for it to feel comfortable the factory scales are very smooth and in my opinion you should apply grip tape or a ranger band to aid in grip i imagine this go's for all the bk series. This knife is super tough have friend who cut down and chopped uo a 13ft 9inch round tree just to see if it could do it is amazingly tough and holds its edge well.
Now on to the sheath i am a huge sheath caretaker as you can imagine. I think for the price paid we should have revived a better quality sheath for this knife.
Kabar used the same sheath for both the bk7 and the bk9 this means for bk7 owners this sheath is way bigger than it needs to be its nice they threw in the molle and the Velcro on the belt loop but the strap is very tight and the lplastic insert creates an annoying constant rattle the sheath also flops alot whal running.
